Ramplight

Terms of service

Last updated 24 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you (the agency or business using Ramplight) and Ronan Grobler, trading as Ramplight, South Africa ("Ramplight", "we"). By subscribing or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Ramplight is software that automatically scans the public pages of websites you add, identifies potential accessibility issues, suggests code changes, and produces reports you may brand and share with your clients. We never log in to, access the admin of, or change any website. You and your team decide whether and how to apply any suggestion.

2. No legal advice and no guarantee of compliance

Ramplight is a testing and reporting tool. Automated testing detects only some accessibility barriers. Ramplight does not provide legal advice, does not certify that any website conforms to WCAG, the ADA, the European Accessibility Act or any other law or standard, and cannot prevent complaints, demand letters or lawsuits. You must not tell your clients or anyone else that Ramplight makes a website "compliant", "certified" or "lawsuit-proof".

3. Your responsibilities

4. Billing, cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions are sold and billed by our reseller and merchant of record, Polar, and renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Your first payment is fully refundable if you ask within 30 days. Founding prices are fixed for 12 months from your first payment. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change.

5. Availability and changes

We aim to run every scheduled scan, but the service is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable, or unable to scan sites that block automated access. We may improve or change features; we won't remove a core feature you pay for without notice.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ramplight is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or claims made against you or your clients, including accessibility claims. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Your data

You own your data and reports. We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy. If you cancel, you can export your reports for 30 days, after which we delete them within 12 months.

8. Ending the agreement

We may suspend accounts that break these terms, for example by scanning sites without authorisation, after giving notice where reasonable.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local consumer law gives you.
